Research Manager, Amador Research Services

Deryk Baladjay is Research Manager of Amador Research Services and Assistant Editor at FACTS Asia. He is a faculty member of the International Studies Department of the De La Salle University-Manila and a member of the Young Leaders Program of the Hawai’i-based think tank Pacific Forum. His research interests include Philippine foreign policy, Philippine bilateral relations, security studies, and great power competition.

His work has been published in various outlets including FACTS Asia, Fulcrum, Peace Research Institute Oslo, Defence Studies, Asia Pacific Bulletin, Perry World House, Agora, and Rappler. He is presently engaged in a multi-year project with the Peace Research Institute Oslo that specifically looks at the norm-building dynamic between China and Southeast Asian nations on digital and technological developments.

He is part of the research team that will develop a case study of China’s digital silk road in the Philippines.
