Fragmentation under Geo-politics｜地緣政治下的碎片化
From the color revolutions in the Middle East to the ongoing Russo-Ukraine war and the increasingly intensified strategic competition between the United States and China, geopolitics has become a driving force behind the fragmentation of the Internet. We welcome government officials, academic researchers, and industry experts to explore the subtopics of how contemporary geopolitical factors drive internet fragmentation, including restrictions on communication software and the deployment of such hardware as submarine cables, as well as the use of other communication technologies like microwave and satellite. Each 70-to-90-minute workshop proposal should consist of one moderator and 3 to 5 speakers to lead its collective deliberation.
從中東地區的顏色革命，到仍在進行中的俄烏戰爭，還有日益白熱化的美中戰略競爭，地緣政治儼然成為驅使網路碎片化的新風險。歡迎政府、學研與產業各界就當前的地緣政治因素如何在軟硬體上驅使網路碎片化的子題，包括通訊軟體上的使用限制，到硬體上的海底電纜鋪設，或諸如微波、衛星等其他通訊技術的使用，規劃每場次由 1 位主持人搭配 3 至 5 位講者的 70-90 分鐘工作坊提案，以俾集思廣益。
Potential Impacts of AI Revolution & Disinformation ｜ 人工智慧革命的可能衝擊與虛假訊息
In November 2022, OpenAI officially released the Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer (ChatGPT), a generative pre-trained model that allows users to interact with AI-powered chatbots in a natural way, generating text to meet various needs. This innovation quickly gained popularity worldwide. However, the use of assorted AI technologies to generate text (and even images and audio) from large-scale databases may infringe upon intellectual property rights or spread disinformation, leading to many related legal, political, economic, social, and educational issues in Taiwan and other countries. We invite government officials, academic researchers, and industry experts to propose 70-to-90-minute workshop sessions with one moderator and 3 to 5 speakers, focusing on the potential impacts of the current AI revolution, to foster a collective and broad-minded discussion on ethical, humanistic, and social aspects.

Resilient Internet ｜ 韌性網路
Geopolitical risks and the AI revolution have posed many challenges to the resilience of the Internet. This includes various aspects, such as the accessibility of communication infrastructure and services, trust in data transfer, the integrity of digital infrastructure like submarine cables, protection of data security and individual privacy as fundamental human rights, fair market pricing, environmental sustainability and biodiversity, and national security. How can these various dimensions of resilient Internet be ensured in the future? To encourage a comprehensive and collaborative discussion, we invite government officials, academic researchers, and industry experts to propose 70-to-90-minute workshop sessions with one moderator and 3 to 5 speakers, addressing the subtopics of internet resilience from different perspectives.
